For your diary:  As a result of how well this was received last year, on Sunday 20th November at 7.30 pm, replacing the Cathedral’s evening worship, the YPC are once more presenting ‘Messiah’, Handel’s choral masterpiece which centres around the first and second comings of Christ.  Attending Messiah, annually, usually in the approach to Advent and Christmas, was once a great tradition in this part of the world, that may no longer be generally so, but it can be a moving and blessed experience, so if you haven’t done so for some time, or ever, why not take the opportunity.  Tickets will be similarly priced and available soon, watch for a further notice, or order them from Derek or Stephanie ‘in advance’.

There will be a shorter option of 4 miles (with more time at Aysgarth) for those that wish for a gentler walk. We will meet at the Parish Church Rooms for a 9 am start as usual. Please let John and Kate know if you are coming (tel: 223893). Our next Monday afternoon walk will be on the 15th July – meet at the Parish Church Rooms for 1 pm.
