Saturday 17th September, St Thomas Crookes, Sheffield, in partnership with St Paul’s Theological Centre, Holy Trinity Brompton, are delighted to be able to build on the success of the previous year’s School of Theology by introducing brand new courses, including a life track and two modules. Join in with over 100 people and see how your thinking and living is impacted by the Word of God. The 2011-12 programme follows a “Bible Track” and features an excellent group of speakers from around the country. The eight Saturday mornings will provide a detailed overview of the Scriptures, and inspiration in applying them to life. The sessions are open to all and will be highly stimulating. There is a list of suggested items to bring on the welcome desk in Church. If you would like [...]  Why not join us to pray for the persecuted church at 10.30 am on Saturday 23rd July 2011 at Stephanie and Michaels home (13 Holly Bank Acworth WF7 7LE). Everyone is welcome. Our next Saturday walk is on 16th July (not the 9th as previously advertised) and we are planning a 7 mile walk from Castle Bolton to Aysgarth Falls in Wensleydale. There will be a shorter option of 4 miles (with more time at Aysgarth) for those that wish for a gentler walk. We will meet at the Parish Church Rooms for a 9 am start as usual. Please let John and Kate know if you are coming (tel: 223893). Our next Monday afternoon walk will be on the 15th July – meet at the Parish Church Rooms for 1 pm. The fortnightly Friday health walks continue from The Well at 10.15 am, the next being on the 15th July. [...] For those already booked for Faith 11 and those still thinking about it, please can we all meet in the side chapel straight after the service on Sunday 10th July. If you can’t make it please speak to Guy or Jenny. Early notice about the WOW date, this has been moved to Wednesday 27th July when we will be meeting at Sandy’s house for a BBQ, more details to follow. ‘Midsummer Music’ is the final concert this season by the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir and features a variety of music from Mozart to Jerome Kern, Haydn to Eric Whitaker with many points in between. Popular music to suit all tastes, with a string quartet and an interval glass of wine, what better way to pass a pleasant summer evening. Saturday 2nd July, 7.30 pm in Wakefield Cathedral.
