Early notice about the WOW date, this has been moved to Wednesday 27th July when we will be meeting at Sandy’s house for a BBQ, more details to follow. ‘Midsummer Music’ is the final concert this season by the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir and features a variety of music from Mozart to Jerome Kern, Haydn to Eric Whitaker with many points in between. Popular music to suit all tastes, with a string quartet and an interval glass of wine, what better way to pass a pleasant summer evening. Saturday 2nd July, 7.30 pm in Wakefield Cathedral. There is a meeting in Leeds on Monday 20th June and we would like to invite anyone who is interested, to come along with us, we will meet at the Parish Rooms. More details in the coming weeks. The next meeting is at 7.30 pm on Wed 15th June, the agendas and the minutes from the last meeting are in the pigeon holes. A discipleship course to stretch your faith which has blessed many people in church wanting to grow will begin again on Tuesday 6th September. If you want to know more speak to Dawn or Sarah. Our next meeting on 13th June in the Parish Rooms with speaker Gillian Heap. Our next Monday afternoon walk is on 13th June. We meet at the Parish Church Rooms at 1.00 pm as usual, please let us know (223893) if you are coming, if at all possible (sorry for the late notice). We will be walking at Pugneys Country Park. The next Health Walk from The Well will be at 10.15 am on Friday 17th June and our next Saturday walk will be on 16th July (not the 9th as previously advertised). In support of national carers week The Well will be holding a coffee, cake and chat afternoon on Tuesday 14th June from 1 till 3 pm. Please come along and learn more about the support available from Carers Wakefield and how we can help carers in Normanton. At St Michaels Wakefield this Thursday at 7.30. |
