We are having lunch together in the parish rooms after worship this Sunday morning. If you haven’t brought any food don’t worry we’re confident there will be more than enough.

A discipleship course to stretch your faith which has blessed many people in church wanting to grow will begin again on Tuesday 6th September. If you want to know more speak to Dawn or Sarah. For those just starting out as Christians or exploring what it means to be a Christian we will be running a course in the Autumn. Dates to be finalised.
The next meeting is Wednesday 13th April, 7.30 pm at Claire’s house. The topic is books – you can tell us about your favourite, bring books to swap or lend, anything you like as long as it’s about books!! All ladies welcome and do bring a friend. Directions to Claire’s house will be available on the welcome desk on Sunday 10th April. If you would like a lift, please let Rose or Anne know. Our next Monday afternoon walk is 7th March and will be in Bretton Country Park. Please let John & Kate (tel: 223893) know if you are planning to join us and we will meet at he Parish Rooms for a 1pm start. Next Friday (11th March) will be the next fortnightly Health Walk for The Well. Our next Saturday walk is 26th March. Weather permitting, we will be walking 5 miles (with an optional extension of a mile or so) from Digley Reservoir near Holmfirth. Please let John & Kate (tel:223893) know if you are planning to join us and we will meet at the Parish Rooms for a 9am start as usual. Our following Saturday walk will now be on Easter Saturday, 23rd April. We have not decided on our destination yet but on the basis of calculations based on our recorded church walks we will be clocking up our 1,000th mile! [...] Dates for your diary!! Yes it is February already and before we know it Easter will be upon us, therefore it is now the right time to point out two dates for your diary.30th July – 6th August = Faith Camp 26th August – 30th August = Grapevine. Both of these camps provide amazing and uplifting teaching and can be strongly recommended. A number of church families will be attending these camps this year [...] The February Prayer Meeting is on 13 February at 6.30 meeting at The Well to focus on Funding bids for the Well Just a note to remind you that the next Wow event is on Wednesday, 7.30 pm January 26th, not January 19th as originally stated. This months event is being hosted by Doreen at her lovely home, please contact Doreen, Anne or Rose for directions. Look forward to seeing you there. Begins at 8.00 pm on Wednesday 12th January at 2 Newfield Avenue. This course is now full but it will run again in September, to put your name down for the September course see Sarah Clark. A new course will begin in the New Year. Sarah Clark will be heading it up if you want further information have a word with her. It may be Tuesday or Wednesday depending upon demand. This may be last course before the Autumn so now is the time to do it. |
