Everyone welcome to a prayer meeting for persecuted Christians on Saturday 21st January 2012, 10.30 am at Michael and Stephanie’s house at 13 Holly Bank, Ackworth, WF7 7LE, love Stephanie. Dear All, this is a quick update from the Ilwana Project: The Lord God, whom we all pray to, has given us an early Christmas present. After four years of waiting, we have this day got an allotment letter from the government of Kenya for the Morokani School plot.  MissionThank you for your generous gift of £250.00 raised at your recent Day of Prayer to support the secret children of the persecuted church. With your support, Open Doors is uniquely placed to bring strength and encouragement to Christians in the Middle East, North Africa and other places where faith costs the most. Let me share with you just one example of how lives are being changed. Syria is home to a large community of Iraqi Christian refugees, most of whom cannot legally work or earn an income. Their children are even worse off because they cannot get a proper education. Open Doors works with the local church to give these children a Christian and professional education. Please pray for Christians in Syria and across the Middle East at this time of upheaval, and pray that through the support of Open Doors, many Christians will be empowered to stand firm in some of the most challenging places on earth. Why not join us in prayer for the persecuted church at 10.30 am on Saturday 26th November at Stephanie and Mike’s home, 13 Hollybank, Ackworth. Operation Christmas Child is the largest Children’s project in the world, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse. Last year children and adults wrapped and packed around 1.12 million shoe boxes full of gifts and goodies, which were then sent to disadvantaged children across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I would like to encourage members of the church to take part and pack a shoe box for a disadvantaged child. Leaflets are now [...] There will be no coffee morning at The Well next Friday the 14th October, due to the Parish Weekend. We have put an application in with Natwest Community Force to receive up to £6,000 of funding. It is based on people voting for their favourite projects. Please can I encourage everybody to go onto the website and register and then vote for The Well.
