Bishop’s Lent Appeal 2011

During Lent we will be making a separate collection for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal the money will go to: Bunda Bible College, Mara – This is now the main theological training centre for the whole area, but lacks a chapel. It is hoped to raise enough to build a much needed chapel. The Next Step Trust – A day centre for 19+ years with severe and complex needs. [...]

Summer Camps 2011

Yes it is February already and before we know it Easter will be upon us, therefore it is now the right time to point out two dates for your diary.30th July – 6th August = Faith Camp 26th August – 30th August = Grapevine. Parish Weekend 2011

I am delighted to say that Rt Revd. Colin Buchanan will be leading our teaching at Scarborough. Colin was principle of St. John’s Theological College, Nottingham before becoming bishop of Aston and then Woolwich. He is now retired in Leeds.

Church Walking Group

Our next walk is on Saturday 4th December and we will be walking on Ilkley Moor (don’t forget your hat!). Christmas Cards 2010

This year we are suggesting that instead of sending individual Christmas cards everyone signs the large Wakefield Hospice Christmas card on the notice board and then puts a donation for the Hospice in the box provided on the welcome desk.
