After Sunday’s service there will be an ‘Eggstravaganza’ consisting of and Easter Egg Hunt in the Church yard/inside Church (weather depending). Each child will be given half an egg with the task of hunting high and low for the other half. Then both halves can be ‘Eggchanged’ for an ‘Eggcellent’ prize. See Guy or Jenny at the end of the service to collect your half and prize. Bible@Breakfast:4Men:S3 The 3rd bible at breakfast for men is Saturday April 10th – 8 for 8.30 am – ‘Judges to Kings’. A number of other church members have asked if the sessions can include women/young people, so it is proposed to have a second series running called bible@breakfast4All and this will run in the Parish Rooms on Saturday mornings, and will follow the same pattern, starting with session 1. If there are volunteers to do coffee and toast for the session, please let me know. The proposed dates for the next few months are as follows: Bible@breakfast4Men – S4 April 10th, S5 May 8th, S6 June 12th, S7 July 10th. Bible@breakfast4All – S1 April 17th, S2 May 1st, S3 May 15th, S4 June 19th, S5 July 17th, S6 July 31st, S7 August 14th. Any queries see Cliff. Sunday sermons in Lent will focus on our response to God’s grace through our giving to Him. ‘Encountering Jesus: Empowering Lives’ Scarborough 9th – 11th October 2009. The theme of this years parish weekend is ‘Encountering Jesus’:-His transforming power past and present and how we can use our gifts to help others meet with Him today. A blend of worship, testimony, study and prayer with fun, fellowship and follies. We do hope you can join us.
