Annual Self Declaration Forms are on the welcome desk, would everyone who holds a CRB please complete this form again and hand it in to the church office. Everyone who participates in any church activity and does not yet have a CRB please collect a form from the office. Dates for your diary!! Yes it is February already and before we know it Easter will be upon us, therefore it is now the right time to point out two dates for your diary.30th July – 6th August = Faith Camp 26th August – 30th August = Grapevine. Both of these camps provide amazing and uplifting teaching and can be strongly recommended. A number of church families will be attending these camps this year and some will even go to both! Grapevine brochures are available on the welcome desk, and both websites contain all the information you will ever need including speaker details. You will even save money the earlier you book with the best savings if you book before the end of February. See Guy for more details. Rock Solid High Youth Club urgently require some men who would be willing to be on a rota to help out once every half term. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:15pm and work with children aged 11 – 13. Continue reading Rock Solid – Help Needed Praise God that during the past month we have really been blessed and received grants from Normanton Churches Together and The Co-op, the money will be used for the continuation of the project. We have been accepted through to full application stage for a Reaching Communities Lottery Grant, which is fantastic news and an achievement just to get to this stage. Jenny and the Trustees are now working hard on the full submission which has to be in early next year. Please pray that everything falls in place for this application. Continue reading The Well Funding Update Over the next couple of weeks please could you save any tin cans (preferably the ring pull ones as these are the safest) as we are going to be using them in the after school groups over the next few weeks up to Christmas. The Well Project has a stall at the Christmas market which is on Friday 26th November from 12 noon to 7.00 pm in the market place, if anybody would be able to come and help for an hour or two please see Jenny. We are in need of some board games etc for The Well. If anybody is having a clear out before Christmas any donations would be gratefully received! During half term last week, some of the young people from The Well came down to Church and have planted spring bulbs and winter plants in the flower bed outside the front door, as a gesture of appreciation for all the Church is doing for them. Freedom in Christ Youth We will be running a youth version of Freedom in Christ from Wednesday 29th September 2010. The course lasts for 13 weeks and will take place in the Parish Rooms from 7.30 till 9.00 pm, age range 13-18 years only. Please contact Gavin if you wish to attend this group |
