Notice Board



Sharing the Vision Because Normanton is going to be a ghost town on the 28th May we have moved sharing the vision to 4th June which will then be followed by the BBQ in the vicarage garden.

Parish Weekend This year the Parish Weekend will be on 13th—15th October, the booking forms are on the welcome desk, please put your deposit and completed form in the box provided. To secure Green Gables for our inclusive use we are committed to 100 places, at the moment we have 52 adults and 14 children booked. We are continuing to take bookings. Jean Fearnley is running a savings club for those who wish to spread the cost over the year.

Christian Aid Week Starts today, we have envelopes to release money into this ministry of the church.

Renewal of Baptismal Vows with immersion Recently we had a service for those wishing to dedicate their lives to Christ with immersion for those already Baptised. There is already someone who would like to go through this process. If you would like to do it too please let Don know.

Women On Wednesday (WOW) Next meeting 24th May at the vicarage “Women’s Health Issues”. All women welcome.

Dave’s Ordination I will be ordained Deacon at Wakefield Cathedral on Sunday 2nd July at 11.00 am. I have been given 40 tickets for members of our congregation to attend, and would be delighted to see some of you there if you can make it. There will be a celebration back in the Parish Rooms afterwards for anyone who can come along and you are most welcome even if you were unable to come to the service. If you want tickets then see either Barbara or me. I am looking forward to serving All Saints as an ordained minister.

Sunday Kids Groups There will be no Sunday morning groups taking place until Sunday 11th June. This is due to various events and school holidays.

Crèche Could the people who would like to be placed on the Crèche rota please contact Gavin Budby or Laura Child ASAP.

Alton Towers If you are attending this year’s Alton Towers trip on Saturday 20th May we will be meeting in the Parish Rooms at 8.30 am. This is so we can set off at 9.00 am. We should arrive back to the Parish Rooms at 11.00—11.30 pm approximately.

Logan Top Scottish rock band Logan will be performing a one off gig at Normanton Junior School on Friday 23rd June. Logan have supported such groups as Creed, 3 Doors Down and Alter Bridge. The youth team are extremely proud to be hosting this event and would appreciate your support. Tickets are available for £2.00 or £3.00 on the night. Contact Gavin for more details.

PCC The next meeting is on Wednesday 17th May, the agendas are in the pigeon holes.

Coast to Coast Cycle Darren Marchant is taking part in the sponsored Coast to Coast cycle (Southport—Hornsea 215 miles) on June 1st—3rd raising money for Martin House Hospice, if you would like to sponsor him there are forms on the welcome desk.
