Sharing the Vision The coordinators and PCC will share God’s vision for the church on June 4th. Not to be missed!
This will be followed by a BBQ on the vicarage garden. A small amount of basic food will be provided but bring along some food and drink to share.
House of Prayer Map Put a pin in your house on the notice board so we can build up a picture of our congregation. If you do not live in Normanton please put a pin at the start of the road you normally use to come to church.
Parish Weekend This year the Parish Weekend will be on 13th—15th October, the booking forms are on the welcome desk, please put your deposit and completed form in the box provided. To secure Green Gables for our inclusive use we are committed to 100 places, at the moment we have 52 adults and 14 children booked. We are continuing to take bookings. Jean Fearnley is running a savings club for those who wish to spread the cost over the year.
Christian Aid Week Please return your filled envelope.
Renewal of Baptismal Vows with immersion
Recently we had a service for those wishing to dedicate their lives to Christ with immersion for those already Baptised. There is already someone who would like to go through this process. If you would like to do it too please let Don know.
Dave’s Ordination I will be ordained Deacon at Wakefield Cathedral on Sunday 2nd July at 11.00 am. I have been given 40 tickets for members of our congregation to attend, and would be delighted to see some of you there if you can make it. There will be a celebration back in the Parish Rooms afterwards for anyone who can come along and you are most welcome even if you were unable to come to the service. If you want tickets then see either Barbara or me. I am looking forward to serving All Saints as an ordained minister.
Open Doors Week On Wednesday 7th June please come between 7.30—9.30 pm to 19 Windsor Close. Spare ten minutes or more if you can, to make a difference. Have a coffee and write a card of encouragement to a brother or sister in Christ, who are suffering right now because of their Christian Faith.
PCC The minutes from the last meeting are in the pigeon holes.
Mara Visit From Wednesday 25th October—Sunday 12th November our Diocese will be host to some visitors from the Mara Diocese, we will be host to Eliakum Katikiro from St John’s Cathedral. Almighty God,
O God the King of glory,
you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ
with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven:
we beseech you, leave us not comfortless,
but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us
and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
