NOTICE BOARD
Sharing the Vision DVD’s are available on the welcome desk for those who were not here.
Training Day July 9th will be a training day worship to have confidence to tell “My Story” for the whole church. This is vital for all members especially those who committed themselves to see the vision fulfilled. There will be no evening worship on that day so that everyone can take part. This will be followed by a BBQ in the vicarage please bring some food with you.
Monday Prayer Meetings From now until 26th June the Monday prayer meeting will be at 2 Newfield Close the home of Sarah Clark.
House of Prayer Map Put a pin in your house on the notice board so we can build up a picture of our congregation. If you do not live in Normanton please put a pin at the start of the road you normally use to come to church.
Prayer Walk 10th July to pray around the areas of the parish starting from church. We had 70 people out two years ago let’s see if we can increase on this. The other churches have been invited.
Women on Wednesday Are having a BBQ on 12th July 7.30 pm in the vicarage. Please bring some food, teenage daughters are welcome and you will meet the students.
Students in town 3-18 July Please offer hospitality for a meal for the students, please sign up on the sheet on the notice board.
Ordination Party On 2nd July after my ordination at the cathedral we will be having a bit of a do in the parish rooms. The party will begin approximately between 1:00 and 1:30pm and everyone is welcome, whether you went to the Cathedral or not. If you would like to come then please let Barbara know so we can get an idea of how many to cater for. The nosh will be provided, but if you would like to bring something with you (food or drink) it would be appreciated, just let Barbara know what you are bringing so we don’t end up with 50 quiches. I would love to see you all there. I still have 3 tickets left for the ordination if any one wants them.
Mara Visit From Wednesday 25th October—Sunday 12th
November our Diocese will be host to some visitors from the Mara Diocese, we will be host to Eliakum Katikiro from St John’s Cathedral. We need to find accommodation for Eliakum for the whole period or this can be split into two sections. If you are prepared to offer accommodation then please see Jean Oades.
Great North Run James Parkinson is taking part in the Great North Run raising money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, if you would like to sponsor him there is a sponsor form on the notice board.
Logan The Logan gig due to take place last Friday 23rd June will now take place on Monday 23rd October.
Parish Walk—Saturday 1st July We are planning to have a walk in the Peak District, a walk round the Chatsworth Estate, If you would like to join us or would like further information, please give John or Kate a ring (223893). We will meet at the Parish Rooms and leave at 8.30 am.
Sunday 2nd July Duty Rota
If you are on duty but cannot make it then you must find a replacement. We have had a number of people recently who have failed to do this and it has caused embarrassing silences in the services, please check your rotas.
