Visit from Mara We still need accommodation for Eliakum when he visits us from Mara, we also need people to provide hospitality at mealtimes, please see Jean Oades.
Lucas Brandter On behalf of A.S. Normanton Youth Project could I say a big thank you to everyone who helped make Lucas’s stay so enjoyable. Especially Hazel and John Brennan who gave him a place to stay during his placement. Lucas really enjoyed himself and left Normanton with a broad Yorkshire accent.
The Mission The Mission 2006 is quickly approaching and we need everyone to be part of this event. Please place your name on the list in the book stall.
Yfriday Tickets We are expecting a rush for Yfriday tickets over the next few weeks. If you would like any tickets for this concert please contact me ASAP to avoid disappointment. You can buy tickets after the morning and evening service.
BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY
Sunday 24th 10.30 & 6.30
Invitation cards are available at the back of church today to give to everyone who has been a member of this church but is no longer and not worshipping elsewhere.
Fill in the details of the services and a personal message on the back. If you are not sure whether they are going elsewhere I suggest you put “If you are not going to church anywhere else” before your invitation.
We would like you to meet up with them to bring them with you. Don’t assume that someone else will invite people, you do it. The more invitations individuals receive the more they will understand that they are missed. A personal invitation is always more effective than one dropped through the letterbox. Guests will receive a goodie bag which will contain a bar of chocolate!
This is our major outreach event of the year and will be followed by and Alpha Course.
Rotas The service rotas for October and the welcome/coffee rotas are in the pigeon holes.
Table Top Sale Will restart tomorrow from 12.30—2.30 pm, free refreshments, everyone welcome.
Sunday 24th September Duty Rota:
If you are on duty but cannot make it then you must find a replacement. We have had a number of people recently who have failed to do this and it has caused embarrassing silences in the services, please check your rotas.
