Almighty God,
whose Son revealed in signs and miracles
the wonder of your saving presence:
renew your people with your heavenly grace,
and in all our weakness
sustain us by your mighty power;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Nurture Group On Tuesday evenings there will be a Nurture/Discipleship group in the parish rooms. If you are a new Christian or if you feel the need to broaden your understanding then why not come along and see what’s on offer. It starts at 7.30 pm and we expect to finish by 9.30 pm.
Men’s Group The Men’s group is to undergo a re-launch. We will meet monthly and apart from an occasional social get together, we hope to have some interesting evening discussions and talks brought to us through a series of invited guests. The diary of meetings for 2007 is on the welcome desk. If the men’s group is to survive, then we need your support. The re-launch date is Friday 9th February at 7.30 pm in the Parish Rooms
Confirmation We will be hosting a confirmation here together with Kirkthorpe and Crofton on February 20th. If you would like to be confirmed please have a word with Don soonest. These are the people who have already contacted me Anna, David and Lauren Wills, Marie Anne, Scott, Jenny, Becky. Would all these people please pick up the letter that is in their pigeon holes.
Evelyn Dunbar-Nasmith Evelyn who was a deaconess here many years ago died on New Years Day after a long and faithful ministry to our Lord. We will be hosting a memorial and thanksgiving for her life here on 25th January at 12.00.
Commitment Sunday As in previous years we will be using the Methodist pattern of having a Sunday when we re-dedicate our lives to the Lord and his church. We will do this on 28th January morning and evening. This is the prayer to be used:
I am no longer my own but yours.
Put me to what you will,
rank me with whom you will;
put me to doing, put me to suffering;
let me be employed for you or laid aside for you,
exalted for you or brought low for you;
let me be full, let me be empty,
let me have all things, let me have nothing;
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to your pleasure and disposal.
And now, glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
you are mine and I am yours.
So be it.
And the covenant made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven. Amen
