Collect for The Sunday next before Lent : Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness, and was tempted as we are, yet without sin: give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit; and, as you know our weakness so may we know your power to save;; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Job Vacancies Our Church needs your help! All our young peoples work, welcome and coffee rota, PA, VA, counters for the offering, brass cleaning, flower arranging etc. Please contact us if you can help.

Notice Board: Confirmation Thank you for all who came along and who worked to make this a very special occasion. Faith Camp This is the last week to bring in your forms to pay at the reduced rate. We have 15 people’s forms at the moment. If you would prefer to be under a roof rather than canvas there is a list of possible accommodation on the notice board by the door. Cliff and Jane have already booked a house that will sleep 6 they are looking for people with which to share it. Renewal of Baptismal vows with immersion On the evening of Palm Sunday 1st April we will be using the baptistery for the renewal of baptismal vows. Dawn and I will be among those going through the waters. If you would like to then speak to Don or Dave. Communion before Confirmation The Church of England has updated the regulations with regard to receiving communion before confirmation. Don will explain what this will mean for us and Gavin will explain the preparation on 4th March at the Thanksgiving Service. Electoral Roll This year is the year we have to prepare a completely new Electoral Roll. This will start on Sunday 18th March and end on Sunday 1st April. Forms will be on the welcome desk during that period, everyone who wishes to be on the roll needs to apply. APM The APM meeting is on Wednesday 25th April at 7.30 pm would all co-ordinators please have the group reports in to Barbara by Monday 2nd April at the latest. Women’s World Day of Prayer This service will be held here on Friday 2nd March at 7.30 pm; the speaker is our very own Sarah Clark. All women welcome. Training Day Follow up If God challenged you on the last training day and you want to know more about listening to others there are still places left on the one day listening course. Just bring a packed lunch and the rest will be provided. The course is in the parish rooms on Saturday 3rd March and runs between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. To book a place or for more information contact Barbara in the church office. WOW 7th March at 3 Newfield Avenue at 7.30 pm. Treats for feet and fingers, come and drink the wine! Sunday 25th February Duty Roster If you are on duty but cannot make it then you must find a replacement.
