Communion before Confirmation The Church of England has updated the regulations with regard to receiving communion before confirmation. We will allow children from the age of 5 to receive communion after permission from parents and appropriate preparation. For those under 5 it is suggested that those attending with the child give a piece of that which they have received. This will be implemented from Easter Day. Should you require further information please speak to Don or Gavin.

APM The APM meeting is on Wednesday 25th April at 7.30 pm would all co-ordinators please have the group reports in to Barbara by tomorrow please.

Parish Weekend I am delighted to say that Ken Lawson will be leading our weekend. Ken is Judith Howell’s father and has been engaged in ministry for many years principally with the Salvation Army, and has led weekend’s of study before, and will be looking at “Being Church”. This year the Parish Weekend will be on 12th—14th October, the booking forms are on the welcome desk, please put your deposit and completed form in the box provided. To secure Green Gables for our inclusive use we are committed to 110 places and we have to confirm this by 12th May. Jean Fearnley is running a savings club for those who wish to spread the cost over the year.

Deputy Warden’s Rota The new deputy wardens rotas are in the pigeon holes.

Abaana I would just like to say a big thank you to all the people who contributed to the work and ministry of Abaana last Sunday. I will be collecting again this week for Abaana and any further donations will be much appreciated. Lets change some lives. Thanks, Adam Newton

An Invitation Joshua Brassington has decided to be baptised on Easter Day (8th April) this will take place in the open air in St Sampson’s Square in the centre of York at 3.00 pm and it will be performed by Reverend John Wilson and The Right Reverend John Sentamu, the Archbishop of York. There will be tea and sandwiches afterwards. They would be delighted if anyone would like to go, please contact Richard and Sally on 01904 793438 or 07963617071 to make arrangements.

All Saints 2007 This will take place from Friday 8th—Sunday 10th June and it is a celebration offered by our diocese to all the dioceses in the Northern Province. Christians will come together to worship and celebrate. The diocese are looking for members of the congregation to host people from the other dioceses, this will involve offering bed and breakfast on Friday and Saturday and a meal on the Saturday night. Hosts who wish to take part in the rest of the weekend can do so at the reduced rate of £15.00. If you would like to offer accommodation please see Barbara for a hosts registration form.

Kingdom Faith Women’s Conference in Horsham Is April 27-28 “Your future’s Bright” with Jenny Gilpin. If you would like to go please speak to Pat Hartley.

Communion Non-alcoholic wine is available at each communion service just ask the administrator when you come forward if you would prefer.

DVD’s There are a few DVD’s left from Evelyn’s Memorial Service, if anyone would like one for a small donation see daisy or Barbara
