Harvest Our Harvest service will be on Sunday 7th October at both services.

Parish Weekend I am delighted to say that Ken Lawson will be leading our weekend. Ken is Judith Howell’s father and has been engaged in ministry for many years principally with the Salvation Army, and has led weekend’s of study before, and will be looking at “Being Church”. This year the Parish Weekend will be on 12th—14th October, the booking forms are on the welcome desk, please put your deposit and completed form in the box provided. To secure Green Gables for our inclusive use we are committed to 110 places, only 64 places have been booked so far. The latest date for booking is 23rd September.

PCC The next meeting is on Wednesday 19th September at 7.30 pm; the agendas are in the pigeon holes.

Coffee When you have been served with your tea/coffee could you please move away from the kitchen area to avoid accidents.

WoW The next Women on Wednesday meeting will be on Wednesday 19th September.

Men’s Group The next men’s group will be on Friday 28th September in the parish rooms at 7.30 pm—How to be an Airline Pilot and a Christian. Dealing with the demands of the job and still remaining true to your faith.

Youth Sunday morning groups restart today.

A S Normanton F C If anyone over the age of 16 is interested in being part of the church football team contact Gavin Budby or Andy Huddlestone. Training takes place on Pringle field every Tuesday 7.00—8.30 pm.

Brass Cleaning We desperately need a couple of people to clean the brasses on a regular basis, at the moment we have no one. If two people come forward it will only take a couple of hours once a fortnight—see Christine Steels.

Parish Walks-advance notice Please note that we have revised the proposed dates of walks to avoid some ‘clashes’. Saturday 6th October, Saturday 17th November and Saturday 8th December.

“Dad - why don’t you put anything in the plate when it comes around”, “Because I give by Standing order at the beginning of each month, and I Gift Aid it so the church gets my tax back”. Many of our congregation do, do you? Ask Janet the treasurer for details.

If you are on duty but cannot make it then you must find a replacement. We have had a number of people recently who have failed to do this and it has caused embarrassing silences in the services, please check your rotas.
