Notice Board:

Don and Dave Dave and I have been meeting to resolve the present ministry situation. I regret the hurt that has been caused by the breakdown of communication between Dave and I. We have agreed that I will continue to train Dave for his ministry. Dave says “Don and I have been meeting during the last three months working towards reconciliation in our relationship. Many of the problems were brought about by a lack of communication between us. We will meet on a regular basis in order to avoid a similar situation in the future. I regret the hurt caused to the church and its leadership. I also regret the path chosen in bringing about my contribution to the recent troubles in the church. My time off was understandable and desirable and was endorsed by the Bishop of Pontefract. Don and I are looking forward to our renewed relationship”.

Ray Rushworth Ray’s BCPM licensing will take place at both services on September 30th.

Harvest Our Harvest service will be on Sunday 7th October at both services.

Parish Weekend Today is the very last day for booking.

Sunday evening events. You have received a bookmark outlining our intentions for the next three months please mark them in your diary and come along, and bring friends and family.

Men’s Group The next men’s group will be on Friday 28th September in the parish rooms at 7.30 pm—How to be an Airline Pilot and a Christian. Dealing with the demands of the job and still remaining true to your faith.

Holy Land Pilgrimage You may remember a while ago I floated the idea of a pilgrimage to the Holy Land May 27th—June 5th 2008. I need to know firm commitments by the end of October to determine it’s viability. I have new brochures and forms to be completed.

Women on Wednesday Next meeting November 21st at the vicarage. Please understand this is an opportunity for all women of all ages and backgrounds to meet together to offer fun and encouragement.

Coffee When you have been served with your tea/coffee could you please move away from the kitchen area to avoid accidents.

Brass Cleaning We desperately need a couple of people to clean the brasses on a regular basis, at the moment we have no one. If two people come forward it will only take a couple of hours once a fortnight—see Christine Steels.

Parish Walks-advance notice Please note that we have revised the proposed dates of walks to avoid some ‘clashes’. Saturday 6th October, Saturday 17th November and Saturday 8th December.
Sunday 30th September. Duty Roster

If you are on duty but cannot make it then you must find a replacement. We have had a number of people recently who have failed to do this and it has caused embarrassing silences in the services, please check your rotas.
