Shoebox Appeal We will be collecting shoeboxes this year for Operation Christmas Child, you can find leaflets for this on the welcome desk. If you need further information please speak to Gavin or Rachel.
Heating Unfortunately the church boiler has just about breathed its last so we are looking to replace it in the near future, please bear with us as the PCC try to resolve the problem. It will take about 4 weeks to have the new boiler installed, we are doing our best to keep you warm. If you have a Calor Gas 15kg Butane (Blue) bottle could you please let Don know to power a room heater for church.
Bishop’s Letter On the welcome desk there are copies of the letter Bishop Tony has written after his meeting with the PCC and co-ordinators.
Lynsey and Scott would like to invite the church family to their wedding on the 3rd November at 12.30 and then to the evening celebration at Wentbridge House at 7.30 pm.
Memorial Service will take place in church next Sunday at
3.00 pm for the loved ones whose relatives have died during the last year. You are more than welcome to attend, and if you would like someone to be remembered please let Barbara know.
Remembrance Sunday November 11th we will be joining the community around the Cenotaph for an act of remembrance at 10.30 am, so we will be having only a 9.30 am service in church that day.
Book Fare November 18th from 6.30 pm in church. Bring along friends and family to buy your Christmas presents and see what books are available, hear reviews, exchange well loved Christian books for others, have your children read stories, and all liberally mixed with a cup of coffee and a chat.
Christmas Services Oh no is it really that time of year! We will have our carols by candlelight on 16th December, with 3.00 and 5.00 pm Christingles on Christmas Eve and midnight communion, then on Christmas Day 8.00am traditional communion, with a 10.30 am family communion.
Face to Face with Jesus Dawn is starting a new group especially for people who are wanting to know more about what it means to be a Christian and how to live the Christian life. This will begin on Tuesday 6th November. If you are interested please speak to Dawn.
Kate Penrose to run in New York Marathon
Kate Penrose is running the New York Marathon in November and is hoping to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Brass Cleaning We desperately need a couple of people to clean the brasses on a regular basis, at the moment we have no one. If two people come forward it will only take a couple of hours once a fortnight—see Christine Steels.

standing committee meeting is on Sunday 11th November after the 9.30 am service.

Communion Please wait to be directed when taking Communion. If you have any special requests (eg non-alcoholic wine, difficulty with steps etc) please make the Churchwarden aware of this.
Problems parking? Why not try parking on Church Lane or Neville Street, and walk through the churchyard.
