Notice Board:
Service Times it has been decided to revert to the traditional time for our morning service having one service at 10.30 am following the original pattern of worship. We are to continue with the “Events” on the third Sundays and introduce a Celebration Communion on the first Sunday at 6.30 pm. There will not be a second service on the other Sundays of the month. This will start at the beginning of February.
“Climate Change” tonight 6.30 pm. Night of discussion on whether it is a reality and its cause if it is. Leon Collyer and Oli Gilkes will introduce the issues to us from different perspectives. There will be an opportunity for discussion and biblical perspective on creation.
Hope 08 Last weekend saw the start of our Normanton Hope 08 questionnaire. On the welcome desk you will find questionnaire’s for you to take home to take part by getting friends and neighbours to fill in a questionnaire. The form will also be available to download from the website. All the questionnaire’s need to be completed by the end of January.
Open Evening for the Bishop of Pontefract’s Holy Land Pilgimage on Wednesday 13th February at 7.30 pm in Tracey Hall, Wakefield, more details on the notice board.
Face to Face In the vicarage on Tuesday at 7.30 pm. A discipleship course starting with Freedom in Christ. Speak to Dawn if you are interested.
Women on Wednesday First meeting in the new year will be in the vicarage on 30th January. “Chocolate fountain” bring your favourite treat to dip (marshmallow, strawberry, banana etc)!
Christingle We collected the wonderful amount of £1,000 for The Children’s Society between our two Christingle services and the church school.
Rotas The service rotas for February are in the pigeon holes.
Men’s Conference in Bath, A Day with Dave author of the book ‘Why Men Hate Going To Church’. A challenging and thought provoking day for blokes who want to be true to their Christian faith: at home, at work and as members of today’s church, on Saturday 26th January 2008. We will be leaving from the Parish Rooms at 3.00 pm on Friday 25th, travelling in the church mini bus and staying overnight at the YMCA; total cost £40.00.

Faith Camp 08 We have run out of official booking forms, take a photocopy one and fill it in in the normal way.
