Mission Giving This is a list of the charities that we give our tithe to: Bible Lands, Cross Project, Dove House, Interserve, Mara, New Wine, Barnabas Fund, Tear Fund, Wycliffe, YWAM and Christians Against Poverty.

Valentines Supper Next Sunday in church at 6.30 pm. This is for all couples but for those who are married there will be an opportunity for renewal of marriage vows. To know how many to cater for please indicate on the sheet on the notice board. A light buffet will be provided. An indication of cost will be made but no charge.

APM This year the APM meeting is on Wednesday 16th April at 7.30 pm. Would all co-ordinators please make sure that their group reports are in to Barbara by Friday 28th March at the latest.

The Children’s Society Thank You and “Well Done” to all the Home Box holders. This years contents have totalled the magnificent sum of £1,075.10, the highest amount we have ever given. Thank you for your generosity and continued support to the work of the Society we appreciate this very much indeed. Cathy and Monica.

Women’s Conference Friday 25th-27th April. Speakers include a missionary from South Africa. Get away for fun and fellowship. Dawn has more details.

Men Awake Following our trip to Bath, Men Awake will launch on Tuesday 12th February 2008 at 7.00 pm in the Black Swan pub, we have the function room, enter from the Castleford Road side of the pub. We will be looking at, Warrior Dangerous to the Enemy and issues surrounding this. What is Men Awake you may ask, Men Awake is a fresh new initiative designed to encourage, inspire and unite Christian men.



We seek to empower men to recover their true purpose, be more courageous in their battles and more faithful in their friendships. Our aim is to help support men in our community. Open to all, bring a friend, family member or work mate. The adventure starts here. Multisports Holiday Club Gavin Budby and Natalie Staneff will be running this at Freeston Leisure Centre from Monday 11th - Friday 15th February, 10.00 am - 2.00 pm, for boys and girls aged 6 - 12 years, £3 per day or £10 for week. See Gavin for more details.

Parish Walks 2008 We are hoping to organise walks on the following dates: 23rd February, 29th March, 3rd May, 28th June, 26th July, 6th September, 18th October, 8th November and 13th December.

Open Doors in association with Saltmine Theatre Present: Rebekka A remarkable true tale brought to life on stage - Rebekka will follow the amazing true story of three ladies who were sentenced to 3 years in prison in a remote part of Indonesia. Convicted for running a village Sunday school and children’s social event, the play centres around Dr Rebekka Zakaria - how she coped with life in a primitive Indonesian jail, the effect it had on her immediate family, friends and career and how she, Eti and Ratna felt very strongly that even though they were in a desperate situation, this is where God wanted them to be. Dr Rebekka will accompany this brand new pulsating production and there will be time for questions at the end.
