Flooding In July the rain came down and ruined lots of people’s homes, some had to move out and some are still not back home. A few weeks ago the rain came down again and started to flood the gardens on Newlaithes Crescent, men dug, put doors and sand bags down to stop the houses from flooding all over again. The people on Newlaithes Crescent need to build a wall and put drainage pipes down, the council have said they will give them a grant but they have to raise over £7,000 themselves. Doris Haywood’s granddaughters, Bethany and Jordan, have said they will do a sponsored swim. If you would like to sponsor the girls there is a form on the welcome desk or see Doris. The swim is taking place on Monday 25th February at 3.30 - 4.30 pm in Normanton Baths.
