Regular Giving to Church

Posted on

In order for the church to meet its regular commitments, it has to rely on regular income. The only regular income the church can expect is from its regular attenders – that’s you and me! Normanton, like many other churches, runs a planned giving scheme. This involves you having a uniquely numbered envelope into which you put a regular weekly, monthly or even yearly gift. As, these days, many of us pay our regular bills through our banks, either by direct debit or by setting up a standing order, the church particularly welcomes the receipt of regular income by that method too, preferably on a monthly basis. If you do not already use one of these methods of regular giving to this church, please may I ask you to consider doing so. You would then be contributing to its ministry in a fully committed way. If you would like to begin regular giving by either of these methods, please either have a word with me (Derek Howell, Treasurer), or call into the Church Office and let Barbara know. We will then deal with the details.

Gift Aiding your Regular Giving
If you decide to give regularly through one of these methods and you pay Income Tax, we ask that you consider joining the Gift Aid scheme. By doing so, the church will get an extra 25p for every £1 you give, courtesy of HM Revenue and Customs. It makes a lot of difference to us, so please join.

If you already give regularly, pay tax but haven’t yet filled in a Gift Aid form, you will find some on the Welcome Desk. Please fill one in and either give it to Derek or hand it in to the Church Office. (You can post it through the letter box at any time). Thank you.
